Calypso is an outstanding representative of the breed. He is a very correct, dark blue merle dog with a beautiful head and smooth fluid movement.

Calypso is an AKC, ASCA and CKC Champion. He started his career by taking Best of Breed Puppy at four months of age and has never looked back. He took Winners Dog and Best of Winners at a pre-show at the ASCA National in Longview, Washington in 1999 when he was 16 months of age. Calypso is now being shown as a Special in AKC and has done very well taking many Group Firsts and Group Placements. He took Best Opposite Sex at the USASA National in Carson City, Nevada in May 2002. He was shown in one pre-show and the ASCA National in Bakersfield, California in November 2002 where he was awarded Premier Dog both times. He also won an Award of Merit at the Westminster Dog Show in New York City in 2003.

Calypso weighs 55 lbs. and stands 21 1/2 inches at the withers. His eyes are cleared yearly and he is OFA excellent. He has a scissors bite and full dentition. Calypso is also red factored.

When not at work showing, Calypso enjoys playing ball, diving through any available puddle or pond, and greeting everyone with a smile. He is a very kind and gentle dog.
